Avira Antivirus appears to be locking USB sticks

Hi, I have the latest version of Avira Antivir antivirus. In the Avira Settings > Security > Virus scans > Notifications, I have turned OFF the 'Notify me when an external drive is detected'. Now, if I insert a USB stick then try to eject it via the Windows taskbar 'Safely remove hardware and eject media' option, it tells me that the device is currently in use. After I uninstalled Avira this no longer happened. I reinstalled Avira and it's happening again. This happens whether or not any files are changed on the USB stick, simply inserting the stick then immediately trying to eject it causes the same error. I'm running Windows 10 Pro with all the latest updates.

Can anyone advise if this is a known issue?

  Thanks for the info. I don't have a support package so I was advised to post here.

  Do you know if there is a public bug tracker / issues board like bugzilla for Avira products?

  I'd also like to get a fixed version and bug tracker.

  There are many threads about this problem, so would like to get the issue confirmed is in hand.
