Isn't it time for an AVIRA statement?
This scene is eagerly awaiting a comment from Avira about the problems on countless (thousands?) Windows computers that are probably caused by the Avira software.
After all, the problem certainly caused considerable effort, possibly costs and probably damage.

They have given a statement to Heise which you can find on their News ticker, but if I link to it my comment doesn't appear and waits for a moderator.

Hi Jens,
The Avira team is aware of the issue. Please refer to the following KB article for details:

Thanks!

They should have a big banner on the homepage with a link to an article with fix instructions.
This is very poor, all of the machines I am removing Avira from now will never use Avira again and subscriptions have been cancelled. BitDefender FTW!1 -
I fear that if AVIRA does not quickly come up with a prominently placed statement that describes the problem, the possible consequences and dangers and finally the solution, then many people will look for and find a way far away from Avira. An Avira statement somewhere doesn't help either; it has to go here to the Avira pages and it has to appeal to the user who is searching.
I find the current silence unbearable.1 -
I have received an e-mail from Avira Support saying that I can now re-install the software, but tbh, that does not help me resolve the issues on some of the client computers that I am dealing with.
Without some minimal technical details about what caused the issue, why should I trust Avira on my system again? Why should I recommend it to clients?

Vinod Pore, many thanks for the link, it's really difficult to find any information.
On Saturday and Sunday I re-install Windows and on Monday I re-install Avira (at this time I didn't yet know that was Avira the problem). And yes, I can confirm the it disabled the firewall either an Avira update that required to restarting Windows. But I can also say that I uninstall Avira after the restart: Windows it was again totally freeze!
Ten years with Avira Prime and zero support: I manage to change it either Bitdefender...
