Good morning,

I installed Avira Free Windows 7 antivirus for free, the antivirus was installed and the next day I got a malfunction. The message was that you will look and inform me. I rarely use the PC, only for home use. Please let me know and thank you Ladislava

  Hello Ladislava,

  Since Windows 7 is already very old and is no longer supported by Microsoft or Avira, automatic updates can only be delivered via currently supported operating systems.

  Microsoft Note:

  "Because security gaps in the Windows 7 operating system will no longer be closed by Microsoft in the future and antivirus programs have no means of closing gaps at operating system level, we recommend that you upgrade your operating system to a current Windows version as soon as possible.
  Due to the limited possibilities, it is very difficult to support outdated operating systems in a forum.
  Whether you use this PC with Windows 7 a little or a lot, it doesn't matter.  Outdated versions in particular are unsecured and susceptible to malware infestation!"

  As Windows no longer makes any updates for this version, it is quite possible that this Windows 7 version is no longer compatible with the technically enhanced security program. This can result in various errors that are no longer processed by the Avira Community.  Thank you for your understanding.
