Real-Time protection is causing my Windows 10 PC to hang and crash
AbgeschlossenI have the Avira Free version with real-time protection on. Since about 4-5 days ago, my Windows 10 desktop PC has been hanging/freezing and sometimes giving me a BSOD Driver_Power_State_Failure error (although this might be due to the number of times I've had to force a hard reboot).
I've spent about 3 days troubleshooting this issue trying all sorts of things like chkdsk, chr scan, updating SSD firmware, memtest, repairing windows, uninstalling Chrome, updating and rolling back graphics drivers and windows updates, changing the graphics card for an old one. Eventually I tried disabling RealTime Protection as a last resort, and it's been working perfectly while it's been snoozed.
What I don't understand is why my Dell XPS laptop has no problems with it. The configurations are quite similar, although obviously the hardware is different.
I am reluctant to upgrade to Avira Pro to get official support when having Avira has been causing me so many problems. I feel like just uninstalling it and going back to AVG or Avast.
Can anyone give me any reassurance that there is a fix for this?

Hello Mark,
Well, this sounds really strange. So we've found out that such kind of issues is forced by another active security software which is running in the background. Can you verify that just Avira is up and running at the same time?
