avira phantom VPN free is not working !!!

I cannot establish a connection with phantom vpn free. It has never worked.
I am very disappointed

  For me (Mac OS) the free connection encryption has been working well, until a couple of days ago, now I am getting the following message:

  Connection encryption not available

  We apologise for the inconvenience.

  Please try again later...

   

  Two buttons on this message: Close and Retry.  Close stops everything and Retry attempts again and the same message comes back.

  please check if another VPN client is installed. 
  Did you already try to uninstall and reinstall the VPN?
