Quarantined files restored not to its original location

I was doing a full system scan where Avira flagged 2600 files as suspicious and put them into quarantine.
after I did a rescan, only 2 were actually malicious (PUA) the other files were clean. Next I restored the files, but to my surprise only a couple hundreds were put back into the original locations, thousands were put into a "RESTORED" folder on my desktop.
Now 3 of my apps don't work, some of them are crucial apps.
How to fix this?

Happened to me too. Thousands of files, including plain text and audio files (ie files that are highly unlikely to cause any problems), were placed into a "RESTORED" folder with none of their original path information rendering some applications unusable.
Hopefully there is a way to undo this and restore the files to their original location. If it can't be fixed it's unlikely I'll keep using Avira as it's far too destructive.

I knew what causing it:
This happened to me like 4-5x, every time when I was not connected to the internet and the fixed scheduled scan ran (the one built-in and cannot be deleted). So it looks like without the cloud component, the detection becomes unreliable. Once I reconnected to internet and Avira got access to its cloud database, rescanning those files resulted in most of the files turns out to be clean after all.Also I have set exceptions to the programs, it doesn't work..it keeps on redetecting those programs and files as infected.
I have mentioned this a couple of times but the support doesn't even bother to respond. No wonder the company got bought in such a cheap price.

Did you receive the Support Collector evaluation that was recommended to you to find the error and solve the problem quickly. This is a helpful investigation.

No never. Now I have noticed that AVIRA Prime is not working in the PRO mode although I am a subscribed user!!!??! your software or lic. check is faulty. Thank you

I will have my renew in June with avira optimization suite if the company will not fix this "strange issue" i will change Antivirus

I am ready to uninstall Avira because of this. I have a crucial App that I am unable to use right now. Is there a resolution??

I have the same problem. I tried restoring items that are declared Clean but instead of restoring them, it places them in a RESTORED folder. I also can't do anything with the restored files. I cant manually copy them to another folder.
Why so many problems, especially when Avira has cleared the programs as Clean!

I have same problem. When i tried to restore those files, it is going to "RESTORED" folder in desktop. Not original location. Some are registered software too. So i have to uninstall Avira?
