On demand scan doesn't start
I'm using Avira under an administrator account in Windows 10. When I right-click on a file and select "Scan selected files with Avira" I get the wait signal for a few seconds and then nothing. After some more seconds a window appears (under all other windows, so I actually don't see it unless I go looking for it) stating "The scanning process stopped! There was a problem ... Restart the scan to fix it." and a "Restart scan" button. When I click on that restart button I get a Windows message "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?", and when I press YES the scan proceeds normally.
How can I fix this?

i have the same problem.

Please perform a reinstallation of Avira and check if there are any available Windows Updates. Check afterward if the issues still occur.

My Avira was a fresh install and Windows is up to date, but I have reinstalled Avira today and issue continues.

Same issue as above.... been that way for a while now....

I completely uninstalled all Avira products, rebooted, installed Avira again, and it works now. Been working for a few weeks (I now have Antivirus and Privacy Pal installed, I had more before, so that might be it, but I honestly doubt it).

Hi,
same problem since I'm using Windows 10 Pro 64 bits (for several months now). I've never got this problem before on Windows XP and 7 Pro for years.
I'll try to reinstall Avira.
