I purchased avira with 5 licences, when I gave the licence code to a friend it said all licences have been used, I have only used one licence for my computer and nothing else.

  Hello Richard,

  The activation code is valid for 5 licenses, the license runs on 1 name, the name of the buyer.
  The license is always activated automatically on purchase to the account with which the license was purchased.
  The licensee can forward the activation code, which is already activated on his account, to other users. The persons selected by him can unlock the license with the activated code. The message to your friend would say that the licenses have already been activated, this is correct.

  You can give your friend the license with your access data to your Avira customer account and in your name on his device to access your license.

  Thanks for the information, how doe's my friend get access to my account so he can install avira. Sorry to be a nuisance.

  Is it correct that you want instructions for installing additional devices?

  In your Avira customer account, under Devices,  https://my.avira.com/en/dashboard/devices  (add additional devices), you can specify who you want to log on to this license so that the owner of this device can use the applications. The individual applications must then be set on the added device. The devices you add have the right to use the individual applications of the main license.

  The user authorized by you (your friend) will receive an email from you with the Avira software for installation, as if you were writing it, only with the predefined download links for the relevant operating system.
  He can click on the download link and follow the installation instructions.
