When will it be ready for Big Sur? Big Sur is due for non-beta roll out any day (it was rumoured today) but Avira is still shown as a legacy application which will not work.

Same question here. It'll be out tomorrow and I'd like to finally reinstall Avira after going without protection during the entire beta phase of Big Sur.

I've been told by Support that Prime is compatible with Big Sur, but I've yet to try it. Rather nervous about it - it's all very vague after umpteen warnings from Apple that Avira was a legacy system and not compatible. Not a great user experience!

Not yet. Although the avira app has full access to my harddisk, as it used to be with Mojave, it keeps telling me the configuration has to be finished by granting access to the harddisk🤪

Same here. I have to finish the configuration. Beta of Big Sur ran so long. Sad to see that Avira hasn't managed to get it running after all these months...

I can't get past the screen asking me to allow the Prime software to load on my Mac. Security & Privacy already set to allow downloads from App Store "and identified developers." Avira not a "identified" developer? In any event, the example provided by the installer is worthless. What now?????

This is what I received from Avira Support - I’m very doubtful about it:
“ I have checked again and you should not worry. Our license works and will work also on Big Sur. “

Same with me. Sold Prime Packungen, but beeing not able to configure Prime on MAC to get it run.

i just found:
- get the new free Avira Avsecurity: https://www.avira.com/en/start-download/product/1765/-I12e2mvtstLKUkGnG-U3eKJ0uoRLs0hXIMQTgSEaOJmPS2GU8kOkIfo- try to install it and than you can upgrad to prime.
So far, I'm stuck with the permission to read the harddisk. althought, Avira is allowed to have full acces to my harddisk, i can't pass that annoying setup window.

Answer from the support:
- Install the free version from here: https://www.avira.com/de/free-security
- Log in on the bottom left with your data and the licence should get available.If "Free Security" still is displayed please close and reopen the app.
This worked for me but in this version you cannot edit any settings. There are literally NO SETTINGS in the whole app.

Hi, I don't think big sur can work on prime. someone can tell who I can ask for help.

Come on Avira, let’s have a clear answer on this. - for once. Nothing you have said so far is understandable. I have paid for a Prime license. Does it work? If yes, what do I do? (In understandable language please!) If no, what are you going to to do?
