Scan: zero files scanned, zero viruses found, zero threats, etc

El Capitan here.
as up to date as i can.
Avira downloaded, although the installer on your website says it will run on El Capitan, it didnt work. But Ihave an older installer file and worked and updated everything without VPN.
My problem: Quick scan, full scan, drag and drop scan all return zero files scanned, zero threats, zero viruses although i asked for a full computer scan!
i have placed an entire folder with more than 50 files to be scanned and still the same zero files scanned, zero threats, zero viruses comes up!
What is this please? i dont feel protected at all to be honest.

Without precise information about your installation, it is difficult to get a picture of your request.
You are writing: But Ihave an older installer file... ?
Please give us detailed information about your installation and a screenshot.Only with the current installation data your problem can be investigated and evaluated.

Hello,
As an addition to pascha45 comment, the old version is already EOL (end-of-life) and replaced by our Avira Free Security for macOS. So please upgrade your installation for your own security.

Thank you both but, Sirs, did you miss that the installer package on your website does not meet the specs you have written. It gives me that my Mac meets the minimum of El Capitan but please go ahead and try installing it on El Capitan.

i was planning 3 licenses purchase but now i won't even keep on trying your free product if that's the kind of doing business you are marketing.
