I have Mac Big Sur, downloaded avira FREE antiviruis security, registered and made password for account, but nothing happens when I open or double click, no commands work, icon in dock, menu says virus protection is off. Never asked for administrator password. Can use junk files scan, also set scheduled times, but nothing else seems to work. How can I successfully install free antivirus

Did you install Avira or another protection program before? Have you removed all remnants of old installations?
