Real-time protection exclusions
AbgeschlossenUsing Avira Security 1.4.3 on MacOS 11.1:
I would like to exclude some folders from real-time protection as it is causing problems. Specifically, the folders used by a local Postgres database installation.
I followed the instructions at the support link but they did not seem to have any effect. I wonder if they are up-to-date? For example, they refer to /Applications/Avira.app which doesn't exist -- it's now called /Applications/Avira Security.app. The file I had to modify in the application, Contents/config/avguard.conf, did not exist either (nor did the config directory).
Is it still possible to disable real-time protection for certain directories on Mac? And is there a way to verify that configuration?

The support link is correct but straightening to our old - EOL - version of Avira for macOS. The current version - which is the only version for macOS 11 - doesn't have such an option at the moment.
Our dev. team is working on some bigger updates in the upcoming weeks/ months. So please be patient. This feature is coming soon.
