Key Icon in Android phone status bar.

Hi, would anyone be able to help me get rid of the Key Icon (device connected to Avira security) that has appeared in my status bar.

I do not want it there, it is using valuable space and making the status bar more confused.  I try to keep the bar for things I want, Signal, internet, battery etc.

I have turned off notification permissions on the Avira app to no avail.

For me it's like if we worked in the same office I send you an email every morning to say "Hey relax, you got dressed this morning".  You know you did and don't need to be reminded.

  Hello Patrick,

  Well, build by design from Android as soon as a VPN service is up and running this key icon will be displayed. Sadly, we need to follow the guidelines from Android/ Google and cannot change this behavior.
