KM(Keyboard & Mouse) link cable firmware detected as Trojan.
AbgeschlossenHi guys,
I recently bought a KM(keyboard & mouse) link cable. If you connect the cable between 2 PCs, you can share 1 keyboard and 1 mouse to input on either PC and even share data between the two.
To do all this, the cable came with embedded software. This software however is flagged as Trojan by Avira.
When I submitted the flagged file to Virustotal, it showed that only Avira and 3 other AVs flagged it as malware and other major AVs didn't.
I thought it was a possible false-positive so I submitted the file to Avira Labs for further analysis. I'm not sure Avira guys will respond to that so I'd like to discuss this matter with the community as well.
Does anybody have experience of using this kind of keyboard/mouse sharing device and got a false-positive flag? Does Avira have a higher than average false-positive detection rate?

Hello Jaepil,
Well, this seems to be a false-positive detection which is already fixed by our APL team. We're sorry for any confusion.
Best,
