Is ARM base CPU being supported by Avira?
AbgeschlossenI am evaluating virus scan for my new Surface Pro X, is Avira support ARM based CPU?

Hello Iven,
atm, we're not supporting CPU architectures besides x86 CPUs and Apple M1.
If we're providing a solution that is also available for CPUs like ARM, we'll update our related system requirements.

Being a bit confused, because Apple M1 is ARM based. Please confirm Avira is supported on M1, because there is no - or I didn‘t find - any official statement on your website.

Hello Christian,
Avira supports Apple M1 CPU but not ARM in general. Apple is providing an API (Rosetta v2) to virtualize x86 applications on M1 CPUs. So Avira isn't a native M1 app yet but full running on M1 chips on behalf of Apple Rosetta v2.
