False Detection
BeantwortetAvira has started quarantining Driver Booster Pro and Wise Program Uninstaller.
This has only happened in the last 24hrs, the programs have worked fine with Avira previously. Trying to reinstall them does not work either, Avira thinks the install files are malware.I have used 2 other online antivirus programs and they both say the files are clean.

Hello Geraint,
Below you will find instructions for rechecking with Avira:
If something is still unclear, please let us know, we are happy to help.
Many greetings

Driver Booster is obviously not a potentially unwanted application as I installed it myself. And the other file is listed as clean.
Can I take it that both apps will now be included as safe in the next update or do I have to keep them as exclusions? At this rate that will apply to half the apps on my system...

Hello Geraint,
Well please take a look here:
So if our APL isn't changing this detection as PUA it will not be marked as secure/ clean. All detection changes will be reflected in our upcoming VFD updates.
Best,

I've resorted to adding both the exe files and the install locations to the exceptions list.
Avira completely ignores this and quarantines them anyway.
I've had enough tbh, bye bye Avira. And I thought Norton was bad....
