Avira's main program (and GUI) doesn't work in Windows 7

Hello people. I am still using Windows 7 and Avira on it.
A short time ago Avira started during laptop charger disconnect to always popup its screen where it tells which of my protection options are enabled. On this same moment usually Avira icon disappeared from Windows task bar and didn't come back until next restart. But however when I checked from Avira program itself, it told always that realtime protection was ON and also Windows was reporting it ON as well.
Now since a few days ago there has begun a new problem with Avira. I can't anymore open Avira program at all. The Avira icon remains in taskbar however and Window still reports it's ON. When checking Windows Event Viewer there are following errors after each restart concerning Avira:
"(Service Control Manager) The Avira Security service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: Restart the service."
"(Avira.Spotlight.Service.Worker) Unknown Assembly Loaded : C:\Program Files (x86)\Avira\Security\netstandard.dll"
Doing Avira repair reported repair successful - BUT the problem was continuing identical way.
Next I was doing a Windows System Restore. I chose a few weeks behind restore point. After that I managed to get Avira working again. I was able to do full scan and rootkit scans which were both OK, nothing found. I also did Windows Defender full system scan, nothing found.
Now some hours after System Restore and running those tests, Avira has turned again paralysed state. I can't access the program anymore. Perhaps this happened when it updated itself on the background? The icon remains without yellow dot at the taskbar but Event Viewer shows again the same identical errors as I described above.
I would be grateful of any ideas how would be wise to continue, thank you.

I would also add some more details:
When opening task manager, and there "services" tab, I can see that "AviraSecurity" is in stopped state.
However "AntiVirService" which says it is Avira Real-Time Protection, is running. Also "AviraScheduler" and "Avira Updater Service" are running. "AntiVirWebService" is stopped but I supposed it's normal because I don't use Web protection of my Free Avira version.

I would still add some more information: instead of only repairing.... I tried to uninstall Avira and reinstalled it again, also checking that .NET installation is up-to-date. Still exactly the same errors in Event viewer log.
HOWEVER: I noticed, that if you go to Windows explorer and pick a file, you can open right click menu and from there start a scan and Luke Filewalker opens and scans normally.
The task tray icon shows umberella open, but if you hover on it with a mouse, it doesn't say anything else except "Avira Security". Typically it would tell there more information. Also if you try to start scans from that tray icon, they won't start.

Well, as Windows 7 is quite old and don't supported by Microsoft, please make sure that you're using the latest state of Windows 7.
If you're using a paid version of Avira it's might be better to get in touch with our support team. Due to limited possibilities, it's quite difficult to support outdated operating systems within a forum.

Yes you're absolutely right. I am actually saving money for new PC and Windows (why not Avira too) but since I am student it's a bit slow process. However I can tell you that I realized that there was one more Win 7 update available from 2020-01 (I thought I had installed everything possible), so I installed that and tried to full reinstall Avira and GUI finally worked after that.
However one problem still continues: when you disconnect laptop from charger, Avira GUI window pops up and it's showing to me which protection options are enabled on that page. On that same moment Avira logo always disappears from system tray and never returns back until you reboot. But maybe I should make a separate report here about this one.
