Why is Avira Crypto mining being disabled?

With Ethereum 2.0, Ethereum has announced that it will transition from a Proof-of-Work consensus mechanism to Proof-of-Stake. As a result, Avira Crypto mining will be disabled.

What does it mean for the current Avira Crypto customers?

As a result of the changes to the way Ethereum can be mined, customers will no longer be able to mine ETH through Avira Crypto.

What happens to the ETH I have mined so far?

Any balance you have already earned is available in your Avira Crypto wallet. The accumulated balance in your Avira Crypto wallet will remain safe. You can withdraw the balance to your Coinbase account at any time.
