On rare occasions, Avira Antivirus may no longer update manually nor automatically. This is caused by the RebootPending.txt file which remains permanently in the installation directory of Avira Antivirus even after a computer restart.
Consequently, the computer expects to restart again after the startup and therefore blocks the automatic updates of the antivirus program.
Deleting the RebootPending.txt file allows the Avia antivirus to perform automatic updates as expected.
