Hornetsecurity - How to migrate
Hornetsecurity takes over the spam filter division of Avira. The German customers of Avira Managed Email Security (AMES) and customers of the Cleanport brand, which mainly comes from BeNeLux countries, will in future use Hornetsecurity Managed Spamfilter Service.
Avira Managed Email Security (AMES) and Cleanport will be discontinued as of March 31, 2018. The customers and resellers of the Avira products Cleanport and Managed Email Security are transferred to the Managed Spam Filter Service of Hornetsecurity. This enables them to benefit from numerous functional enhancements, the highest detection rates and access to additional services from the product portfolio of the Hanover-based email security specialists. For more information visit Hornetsecurity.
With the Managed Spamfilter Service Hornetsecurity not only protects email traffic but also secures it at the same time. Hornetsecurity leads the market with guaranteed 99.9% spam detection rate and 99.99% virus detection. Moreover, the administration and use of the service is very simple. In addition, Hornetsecurity Advanced Threat Protection offers comprehensive protection against sophisticated attacks such as extortion software, CEO-Fraud or Spearphishing, which cannot be detected by classic defense mechanisms. Aeternum, the email archiving solution and an encryption service round off the range of services.
In order to ensure a smooth transition, Avira and Hornetsecurity have worked closely together and made the necessary technical and organisational preparations. Resellers were informed about a platform change, free webcasts were held and all configuration data was automatically migrated to the new system.
All information on migration and the features of the hornetsecurity spam filter has been summarised for Avira and Cleanport administrators on the Hornetsecurity website.
