The email protection service is installed on server systems but cannot be used due to the email protection checking for SMTP. Server to server connections also check for SMTP.
The email protection would therefore also check the server to server connections, and this leads to problems. For this reason, email protection cannot be used on server systems.
The service can be set to "manual" in the Windows service management so that there are no error messages in management consoles, or the screen remains closed locally.
To do this, the product protection must first be deactivated in the configuration of the product.
Go to Configuration → General → Security → Remove check mark at "Protect processes from unwanted termination".
Once you have changed the service, turn on the product protection again.
