Avira Free Security, how to find and use Anti Virus Add Exception?

    Hello Chiew Kok Yeow

    In the new interface you will find various settings under Security and Protection Options. There you can click on the gear symbol next to the system protection to access the settings.

    To allow an update for Malwarebytes, you can also temporarily remove the checkmark in front of the real-time protection - remove the checkmark at the bottom of the Avira screen to deactivate the real-time protection.

    Hi, many thanks~~ I found the gear symbol to access the settings.

    I follow Malwarebytes to add these for exception:

    Here's a list of files to exclude for Malwarebytes. 
    · C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-malware\assistant.exe
    · C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-malware\mbam.exe
    · C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-malware\mbampt.exe
    · C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-malware\mbamservice.exe
    · C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-malware\mbamtray.exe
    · C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-malware\mbamwsc.exe

    The problem still unsolved, Malwarebytes still unable update from their server.

    Besides that, I would like to ask the reason that Avira Free Security will pop up itself when I log in to my computer. It won't happen previous, normally program will run "secretly" after I first log in to my Windows.

    First, we thank you for your feedback, letting us know that there was a potential issue with the opening of the Avira Free Security application. We’re happy to report that our team has fixed it, so the issue should no longer happen. If you see this, please flag it for us again.

    It’s fixed with version 1.0.37.12019. This version will be rolled out in stages to all customers.

    • Which operating system is installed - the latest version
    • which Avira version is installed on your computer
    • has this been going on for some time or is the behaviour new now
    • Did you change any settings
    • Please send us a screenshot
