VPN on Avira Free
I use Free Avira, which includes VPN. Avira’s website says “You may use 500 MB of traffic every month with the free Avira version. If you are registered (with just one email address), we’ll double your available traffic to 1 GB per month.” I have two issues:
- My monthly VPN usage allowance has not re-set. I am aware that it should run on a 30 day cycle, not a calendar month, but more than 30 days has passed since I began to use the VPN. How do I fix this problem?
- Although I do have an email address registered with Avira, my VPN shows my monthly allowance as 500MB, not 1 GB. Again, how does this get fixed?
I would add that, unless you have a paid subscription, there seems to be no way of speaking directly to anyone at Avira to get support. This is not great when the problems clearly originate with Avira, and make the advertising of their free product questionable.
