Windows 7 is an old programme, many updates can no longer be installed in the outdated technology. You should be aware of this.
Here - already created years ago - a hint from Microsoft: see:

Important: Well, as Windows 7 is quite old and don't be supported by Microsoft, please make sure that you're using the latest state of Windows 7.
Once again: we do not have access to your Avira customer account and your installation. Support and Avira technicians can be reached by Avira licence holders directly via "SUPPORT" from the customer account.
You also wanted to contact support via chat. The digital assistant Mark pointed this out to you: "I am here to help, but my assistance is limited to your subscription level." and "If you have an account, please log in for premium support services." A satisfactory answer is only possible if you are correctly logged in.
The "Avira Community Guidelines" have also been made available to you.Your "It says Windows 7 compatible!" However, difficulties can sometimes occur due to the outdated technology, which depends entirely on the individual installation and personal settings. This is pointed out by Microsoft.

The owner of an operating system that has not been updated for some time now - publicly terminated by Microsoft - would be well advised to always check compatibility with his OS first when installing new software.
