Removing a system extension

Avira Scan Service - version 9.3.7, remained on my computer after I followed the instructions provided by Avira for completely removing Avira software from a Mac. How can this extension be removed if following the instructions provided by Avira for removing Avira software from Macs completely does not result in its removal?
