Slow start time for Avira antivirus
TerminéeI have the latest version of Avira Free Antivirus installed in a Windows 7 SP1 (with all updates installed).
After the windows logon, and with all the processes loaded and running I see the Avira service takes a lot of time to load near 5 minutes, the umbrella icon is open and it says "initializing".
The system has plenty of CPU and RAM capacity left (only 10% busy), that's why I believe it is not a system resources issue.
Does anyone knows a fix for it. Thanks.

Hello,
Well, this sounds that something is blocking Avira processes to being started correct. Do you have any other AV solution installed?
Check also if Windows Defender is up and running.

Hi, thanks for your response. I've checked, Windows Defender is disabled, I don't have any other AV or antimalware software, it is a freshly Windows installation.
It seems to be only happening with Avira Manager utility, but not with Antivirus. When it is "initializing" the antivirus is correctly up and running (I've run a test with a EICAR file and detected it fine).
I've checked the possible services that could interfer the launching of Avira Manager but I only see Microsoft services here. I will leave it this way, trusting that at least the Antivirus service is running. Bye!

And did you also checked the answer from Arthur in this case?.

Hello Дмитрий Т.
The update of Avira cant be the reason for this problem.
Maybe it can help to uninstall the Software and do another clean installation of the software to solve this problem.

Hi, I've run some tests, I don't think neither the update is the reason for this behavior; The affected component is not the antivirus module, is just the Avira manager.
I've checked it with an EICAR file and it detects it in the iddle time,so you are safe while Avira Manager is loading (that was one of my concerns)... Is there any way to diable only the Avira manager or at least, start it by demand?
I've tested it in a freshly installed Windows and I have this issue, the only software installed is the one that comes with Windows.
I could try to to raise the priority of the Avira Manager process, I'm going to try and let you know.
