    Hello Tarmo,

none of our products support Windows XP any longer. Please be aware, that also Microsoft stopped the support for this operating system. We highly recommend you to update to a newer version.

Answer is not the rigth one as I was using an Avira 15.0.19.164 version (date of issue 18/08/2016) which was fully operationnal on an XP system up to 15/01/2020 including the automatic virus definition updating. However you will need to find a hbdev.key that was valid until 31/12/2999 (usual licence is valid only until 02/01/2018)

However it seems that Avira has decided to not accept anymore the update of the virus definition automatically on XP platform since mid january 2020. So update may be done from now only by downloading the manual update tool (excepti if the update is a temporary abnormal loading of Avira servers!).

    Hello Frederic,

    This is absolutely correct.

We had a phase until the 22nd of January 2020 in which we still updated existing Antivirus versions under WinXP.

The official end of lifetime was already in 2015/2016.

    https://www.avira.com/en/support-product-lifecycle-archive

This was a reaction and solution in order to give our customers enough time to swith to a different OS.

Since this point of time we completely stopped the support or update process for WinXP.

That means there is no possibility for a save usage of Antivirus anymore.

    Thank you for your understandnig.

    Best regards,

I know Windows XP is no longer updated by Microsoft, but I still use it offline because it's using software and hardware that only runs on XP. Upgrading to Vista or newer is NOT an option.

I'm looking for the last PT-BR Avira version compatible with Windows XP which is v15.0.19.164. I found the EN-US offline installer, but unfortunately I could only find the v15.0.16.282 in PT-BR. I'm using FuseBundle to at least keep the virus definitions updated while it still works with XP.

SOME protection is better than NO protection, so I ask you: is there any possibility of providing a link for the v15.0.19.164 in PT-BR?

Johny have you try this place for downloading an Avira version (https://avira_free_antivirus.fr.downloadastro.com/old_versions/)?

I have checked on my virtual XP and the version is the one you mention (15.0.19.164 dated 18/08/2016) but I am unable to find the exe file that usualy I keep and I guess that V15.0.19.164 could be an update uploaded from Avira.

I have found also this site https://downzen.com/fr/windows/avira-free-antivirus/versions/?page=2 where this version seems available

    Regards
