errors after install

If i install the one from the download page then it works fine but if I want to download the one from my account and install it. The install is fine but if you want to update it then it will give you an error of "not able to load engine"

I got the same problem when i installed the new Avira Free Antivirus version 4.0.1.33.
On macOS Mojave i got something like "Error update failed" but on macOS Mojave i get "Cannlot load engine." just like Richard.

Hello,
we had a specific error in the version 4.0.1.33. It was already fixed. Please uninstall, download a new setup file and reinstall it. In that way, you should get the version without this error.It is important to download the setup file again and don´t start the installation with the old one!

The "new" setup file downloads the old version 3.10.12.10 of Avira not version 4.x. so did you pull version 4 from being downloaded and installed?

correct, we stopped the roll-out from version 4, because of the error you mentioned above. At the moment 3.10 is the correct one.
