two bug reports, directory exceptions not working, exception process list hanging avconfig.exe
I don't see another place to report bugs, which is weird, so hopefully this isn't ignored here...
1. Setting directory exceptions in avconfig settings doesn't work. I'm a programmer, and if I set the output build directory as an exception, every time I build the new exe takes forever to launch the first time. It used to pop up a thing asking about uploading it for virus checking, but now avguard.exe silenty connects to a server and takes many seconds to check the file. Obviously making exceptions actually work would be the best thing there, but at least bring back the dialog prompting for upload? I'm building in one copy of devenv and running in another, if that matters...my main project seems to not have this problem when I build and run from the same instance, so I don't know if that's special-cased or what. Anyway, this is not good.
2. While playing with this, I hit the "Processes..." button in avconfig and it's currently been hung for 5 minutes, and is not killable in taskmgr or procexp, permission denied, even as administrator.
This is Windows 7 x64, latest Avira.
Thanks, Chris

Wait, the process list finally came back after about 8 minutes of the config app being hung...seems like a very long time to wait with no UI indicating it's not hung.

Update: It looks like the process path exception might work, and just the directory exception is busted. I need to test it a bit more.

Update2: I found that you can re-enable the "avira cloud" manual prompt in General Settings to avoid the upload as well for other programs.
