I wanted to enable 2FA for my account, but I realized that right now the only option available is the antiquated and risky SMS based one.

Why isn't there an option to use an app instead such as Google authenticator?

  Hello Lohengrin Percival,

   

  I cant give you an explanation why there isn't another option for that.

  That was a decision that the developer decides but I can also send this feedback to the department so that they can investigate that and maybe do some changes in the future for more options.
