Application blocking
Terminée-
Hello Luciana.
Which special application you want to get blocked?. Or what exactly didn't work?.
So are you able to activate the applock? And did you create a security pattern for it to unlock?

Hello,
I would also like to understand how to block an application.
In the Avira Firewall Manager, when I select menu Programs, I have the option to add a program, and then have to select/unselect the Profiles "Domain", "Private" and "Public". What are these profiles? What is the impact if I deselect these profiles?
Once I have set up a program, in the menu Rules I see the application with more details:
- Direction Inbound: what does that mean? Is all traffic blocked or allowed to go inbound to that application?
- Can I update an existing rule?
If I add a new a Program Rule, I can select application name and program path:
- What is the purpose of the State (Active)?
- What is the purpose of the Direction (Inbound/Outbound)?
- What is the purpose of the Action (Allow/Deny)?
Thanks,
Lourens

Hello Lourens,
It sounds like that you're using an outdated Avira version as we don't have any firewall manager for a couple of years. If that's the case, sadly, this version isn't supported anymore.
Please tell us more details about the product which you are using.
Best,

Hi Arthur,
I just found out that the Firewall can now be configured in W10, so no need for 3rd party app.
Thanks!
Lourens
