Can Avira delete windows file?

Before using Avira I used McAfee which showed some false positive files (which were required by windows). After running it, I shut down my pc. The next day when I started my pc, It just showed the windows startup again and again. McAfee told that it deleted all the viruses and no other viruses were present. I even came to know that I was not alone. Many users reported the same problem. When I started using Avira I saw some files which came out to be false positive after checking it in VirusTotal. Can Avira too delete windows files? Please answer me.

  Well, false-positive detections are rare but possible. Anyway, we're top rated with false-positive detection so you don't need to worry about it.
