ALERT - WARINING - Hosts file change blocked - how to check who tried to edit my hosts file?
Avira Antivirus warns me some times a day that an attempt to edit my hosts file was blocked.
However no other information is provided.
The question obviously is *who* (which program) tried to change my hosts file???
It doesn't seem Avira provides or logs that information (no hint in C:\ProgramData\Avira\Antivirus\LOGFILES)
I therefore ask Avira how to check who is trying to edito my host file, to have a detailed log for important information like this, and make logs/information regarding past security events easily accessible through the program's console!

Unfortunately we aren't able to provide you further information regarding the program that tries to change the hosts file.
Our service only recognizes if something tries to apply changes to this file but cannot identify the program that is responsible for that.
