slow gmail and dropping scanner functions
I have Avira Prime software loaded onto my devices (one gaming laptop (the wifes son) and one desk top unit (mine) both Windows 10) with the annual membership. It has become increasingly frustrating that my Gmail as well as my HP all in one scanner/printer continue to have issues. The gmail is increasingly becoming slow to respond (type click on communication delete etc) or none responsive at all sometimes having to close and reopen. At times it says the app (Chrome products) is not available. The printer/scanner continuously drops the scanner function. I have reloaded the program several times and even had Microsoft Tech Support thoroughly uninstall and reinstall the program to no avail. I am beginning to believe that it is neither the Gmail nor the HP, but infact something that both may have in common. What could it be, could it be Avira Prime? I am asking the Community because Avira does not seem to want to respond directly with an email as it is a none existent page. I do not do the gaming thing, I use my computer for work and the HP communicates via WiFi. The router is about 2 years old and is a Netgear brand. I have the Lenovo desk top unit wired hard to the router.

Hello Robert,
Well as your used setup is very common we cannot see any issues with Avira. With a similar setup, no issues or similar behavior is reproducible.
As Avira Prime isn't offering a firewall it's not possible to block a WiFi connection. Please check if you're using a VPN connection and disable this if so.
Best,
