Prime 30 day free trial activation problem
TerminéeI have tried multiple times to activate a 30 day free trial of Prime. Each time after I select Paypal as the payment method for use if I continue past the trial, the S/W goes off in a forever timer loop. What is the problem?

Hello Helena,
We cannot give a concrete answer why the payment method with PayPal does not work for some customers.
There have been only recently more complaints about PayPal payments, these were also mentioned publicly (also TV).
Either the payment method could not be chosen or it was not displayed correctly, registered several times as a booking and then several invoices were sent.https://support.avira.com/hc/de/community/posts/360013457358-Zahlungsproblem-Ablehnung-

For your information see the note above: "Recently there have been more frequent reports of problems with PayPal payments."
Kind regards

Well, I chose it correctly, not much to it - click on the Paypal button when given 2 choices for payment method. From there, we go into timer spin forevermore. I also tried more than once from scratch with the same result.

Hello David,
Why you are not allowed to pay by PayPal we can not say here. We have no access to your customer account. The Community is a publicly accessible forum, personal data may not be questioned or processed here - Privacy Policy GDPR
Maybe someone in the community is reading this and can help you with the strange behaviour of your PayPal payment.
Many greetings and a nice weekend

Well someone in the Avira community set up the payment page for Avira which allowed for payment via Paypal or CC. after several attempts at using Paypal, I gave up and used my CC. So someone set it up. Was it tested? I don't have any unique characteristics. Has anyone used this patch successfully? Maybe the Paypal option should just be removed. I considered not bothering going ahead after this frustration.
