Windows 10 takes a very long time to restart/shutdown with Avira installed after the latest October 10 Windows update (20H2)

Does anyone know what might be causing this? It does seem related to Avira because it doesn't happen when Avira is not installed. Both Avira free antivirus and the Avira free security suite are affected.
This occurs after the windows update, but also after a fresh Windows 10 installation.
