    Hello Chuck,

Logs can now being retrieved with the Console.app (Applications > Utilities) - You can query all logs if they filter the event stream with com.avira
    • We currently don't have a scheduled scan in the new Avira Security. It is planned for Q1 2021.
All logs from scans can be found if you use the filter com.avira.scanservice
    • The product checks for updates every 15 Minutes. Its logs can be found if you use the filter com.avira.security.updater
    • The Detection updates are being checked every 2 hours, by the detection SystemExtension itself. So here the filter com.avira.scanservice would also apply.

    Best,

The above recommendation to access logs in the Console only works when the stream is manually turned on. What is needed is access to persistent log messages that demonstrate:

    • Scans being executed and the results
    • Virus definition updates

You really want at least 90 days worth of persistent logs (ideally 180) demonstrating these events, for compliance purposes (like SOC 2 Type 2).  Do you all have a solution for this?
