Missing Features - Avira Free Security

I am using Avira with MacOS Catalina. I have just uninstalled Avira Free Antivirus and installed Avira Free Security - this was in preparation for MacOS Big Sur. Avira Free Security is missing two particular functionalities (that were present in Avira Free Antivirus). These are: (1) the ability to scan selected files/folders - usually done by right clicking on the file/folder and selecting Avira scan. (2) the ability to manually trigger an Avira update. I have seen posts that advise that at least functionality (1) is coming. I regard the two functionalities as essential for an antivirus product. I need a timescale for the introduction of these two functionalities.. Should I wait or change from Avira to another antivirus product. Any help would be much appreciated.

  These missing features are still in progress but sadly, we cannot provide any timeline yet. We're working on it.
