Hello,
Well, it's quite difficult to understand your request in detail.
So, first of all, no updates went lost. If they're downloaded they are set and will be used. It seems that - if we can follow your explications correctly - there's an error while syncing the timestamp from macOS to our Avira database (local).
This wouldn't be a security gap, more a design flaw.
Sadly, we cannot reproduce your request, so it seems not to be a bug.

If it is an error while syncing the timestamp is the only solution to uninstall and then reinstall Avira??
