Update error - Internal error 9.
RéponduLately, my Mac - running Catalina - has stopped doing the Daily updates (04.01.21 was the last). The scheduled weekly scans still run, and I can also run a quick scan correctly.
The update seems to work normally, but takes abit longer, then returns a dialog-box stating "Internal error 9. Engine validation failed."
The Engine, Protection and Product all show Unknown.
I reviewed my account, and it show my devices (5) and this one's detail shows that Pro (Prime) is installed.
What is happening?

Same issue with me.. I uninstalled it, then downloaded and installed the latest version. It is updating fine now.

Thanks, I just didn't want to go through all that again, as I had to do when I went to Catalina to get past the legacy OS popup msg. Since I was here, I went ahead and did the update to Big Sur - not recommended BTW - and then did the deed. It is again happy and operating & displaying correctly.
