Doubt at OpenVPN Daemon

I noticed a strange issue,i have no depth knowledge about vpn, after connected vpn, some data usage is going on at background at openVPN daemon network, even i am not using browser, not updating, may i know why this background network data running continuosly at windows 10 os.

  As this daemon is a daemon it is still active which is build by design on a daemon service.
