what is toast notifier

On one of my computers (windows 10 pro) I have Avira Prime and CCleaner. Whenever I run the CCleaner registry cleaner it keeps coming up with a toast notifier active x problem, even though each time CCleaner claims to have fixed the problem. I did some research and it appears that toast notifier is part of the Avira program.
I know you can't do anything about CCleaner, and are not responsible if it it the problem. However if Toast notifier actually does have something to do with Avira can you tell me what toast notifier does and if there is a way to fix the active X problem? Thank you in advance for anyhelp you can give me.
