    We don't quite understand your question about the installation and activation procedure.

    Have you tried to install the licence you purchased via the Google Play Store using this account?

    Have you removed the old device from the devices in your account?
    How did you activate when you installed Avira via the Huawei App Gallery? Please give an absolutely exact description.

    Have you used the search engine of your choice to find the various descriptions for
    Handy - Huawei - installing apps without google?

    I'm not sure how to do this......

    So here is what happened exactly:

    1) I've got my old phone, a Nubia phone, I installed Avira Security on it;

    2) I bought Pro version in Google Play Store, paid it, received an email from Google , with an order number (Google Play Store order), there is no product key or licence number or any sort, just Google order number and the price I paid;

    3) On this old Nubia phone, Avira shows Pro version, when I click "Restore Purchases" link in app, it shows "Paid subscription found"

    4) Now , I bought my new Huawei phone, installed the same app Avira Security from Huawei App Gallery, it's showing free version, I can login my account in app, but there is "Get Pro" button, but there is no "Restore Purchases" link in app

    5) I login Avira website, in my account, I can see both devices listed there.

     

    Now, question is, how to transfer my Pro version from Nubia phone to Huawei phone ?

     

    -- Have you removed the old device from the devices in your account?

    If I remove the old device from my account, does that Pro version transfer to my new phone automatically ? (I assume no ?)

    -- How did you activate when you installed Avira via the Huawei App Gallery? Please give an absolutely exact description.

    That's my question, how to activate the pro version in Huawei App Gallery ? I don't know how..

    Hello Lyle,

    You purchased your licence in the Google Play Store, and it should be displayed in your customer account on your Android device after the purchase. You installed it from there and have used it so far.
    It's up to you to decide why you don't want to go down this path.

    There will certainly be a manual with instructions for this device, since you want to install the licence via the Huawei App Gallery.
    We have already told you to inform yourself about the special features of this installation method in the search engine of your choice.
    Your purchased licence is displayed in your customer account. Please enquire whether you can change the licence purchased in the Google Play Store to the Huawei App Gallery if you do not want to install it from your customer account.

    Thanks for your replies and the information provided so far.

    I don't know whether you're am employee of Avira or not.

    If you're not - Thanks again for volunteering here trying to help people. Appreciate your time and answers. I think I'm good now, I'll just uninstall Avira and find an alternative (there are still a few options) where I could get some basic support on account and installation questions for a paying customer.

     

    If you are an Avira employee/support team member - here is my feedback to Avira:

    1) As a paying customer, I don't get chance to create support ticket, Avira website doesn't allow me to go further into support ticket system , the only way I can get my questions answered is via this forum,  which , you "have no insight into your customer account", and that's very frustrating and confusing.

    2) I don't see any subscription or licence in my Avira website online account, I can see my subscription in Google Play Store - but there is no way to transfer that subscription to Huawei App Gallery thanks to U.S. government any U.S. company is not allowed to deal with some dozens of Chinese companies including Huawei in any ways. So, something is broken between Avira website / "My Avira Account" and Google Play Store.

    3) Please improve your knowledge base - if you don't want to open your support system and provide decent technical/customer support to those mobile users paying maybe $10 or $20 a year - it's understandable support team resources is limited and you want to guarantee those customers paying $100 or $200 a year to get good service/support. But how could something very basic such as this transferring the purchased licence from an old device to a new one become so difficult that I've spent 2 days asking here and trying on my mobile / your online customer account,  but still no result ...... As an adult with average I.Q. who has master's degree in software development and worked in I.T./Software industry for the past 15 years - if I couldn't figure out this, I don't believe most of your users can solve this enigma without your technical/customer support. 

     

    Thanks, it's been a good ride with Avira - until this moment I couldn't transfer what I've paid for to my new phone.
