    Hello Max,

This is not often described or even a known problem.

Before we try to find other sources of error, you have reinstalled to macOS 11.3. Have you already tried to install to macOS  11.3.1?
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212335

If you have any further questions, information about your Mac and your exact Avira setup procedure would be very helpful.

If anything is still unclear, please let us know, and we will be happy to help.

    Best regards

    Hi there.

I can confirm this BIG issue!

My Mac was hanging every day 1-2 times and no keys were working. Only hard restart could help.

I tried everything! Deleted and reinstalled almost all Apps! The issue was still there.

Sometimes it could freeze without any reason (no new programs starting, only at the text writing or site viewing).

BUT almost every time it was hanging after sleep mode (close the mac).

I thought already to buy new mac, because my is corrupted...

But after DELETING your Avira, everything is fine!

Please solve it. It's a BIGGEST ISSUE I EVER HAVE HAD!!!

me too on this - it seems to be Avira RTP that's been causing daily freezes of my iMac Pro running Big Sur. You guys might want to check into this.

Avira Prime also hangs up my system when update runs - Big Sur11.4.

The only way to clear it is to do a hard restart - really not impressed!

The issue seems to have been corrected for me with Avira 1.7.4. Thanks a lot!

My M1 MacBook Air hangs whenever I wake it up from sleep in the morning.

Disabling Avira RTP eliminates the problem.

You have made a new installation, was everything removed by Avira before? Did Avira work perfectly before the new installation?

If something is still unclear, please let us know, we are happy to help.

    Many greetings
