How to set the PW manager so that he will ask for master PW every time I start the PC?

As I'm currently trying out a password manager for the 1st time by using Avira, I have a beginner's question.

On my PC the PW-Manager autostarts every time I start the PC, without asking me to enter the master password.

In my opinion, this is not how it should work, since anyone who turns on my PC can access the passwords list. 

So how can I set the PW-MAanger manually in a way that each time I start the PC I have to enter the master password?
(P.S. I have activated the option "Automatically lock Avira Password Manager after a certain period of time" in the hope that this could be the solution, but I don't notice any difference between active / inactive)
