making my computer life miserable

My Avira security PRIME program keeps popping up and causing me to close it or else it takes awhile for it to disappear. It is most annoying and preventing me from really doing anything that requires even an iota of concentration.
if this is part of Avira's program of security, it is not what I bought and downloaded. Just how many times an hour does Avira security pop up and want to check everything.
No idea how to tame it. Any ideas what and how to get this crazy program to work properly?
Is it just my system or prevelant throughout the Avira users

Only with exact information of your installation procedure, we can get an idea what was not done correctly during your installation.
Your description is not a normal use of the Prime version.
