My security tab has an orange dot next to it which never leaves. I have gone through every option, every scan and done it all and it is still there. What am I missing?

 

what I have done;

 Virus scans - all 3.

Protection options - all on

Quarantine - all deleted. 

Software updates- all upto date.

Firewall - on

  Have you tried to open the 3 security options by clicking on the cogwheel?
  Did you check the software updater again?
