Constand spam for Avira products
TerminéeStarting on 14/01/2022 I was receiving constant stream of spams for Avira products. The email address concerned is not the one used for Avira products.
The spams always use the same scheme: your Avira lincense has expired. We have asserted that your PC is infected and compromised at a level of 28 %. We have a special limited offer for you: 30 % discount.
The links typically end at avira.com with certain parameters out of a affiliate program.
The advertising company directing to avira.com is PERFORMANCE HORIZON GROUP LIMITED.
The affiliate parameters turned over are:

Oh, come on - seriously? Is this the whole reply to my issue with your spamming affiliates?
Avira Antivirus Pro protects your computer and everything on it from viruses. Your email inbox is located on the server of your email provider. For this reason, the antivirus software installed on your system has only limited influence on your email inbox.
Avira Antivirus scans emails downloaded from the server to your computer and reports if they contain malware.
Spam or phishing emails always occur in periodic surges. Such emails are usually sent during periods of increased internet activity – around Christmas time, for example. After a while, the volume of phishing emails decreases again.
Since such emails are usually free of malware, the antivirus software does not block or classify them.
However, some of these emails contain malicious content which could potentially install on your computer. In such cases the antivirus program prevents the content from installing and notifies you. This is about spam FOR Avira products by an affiliate system.

Now it is getting really nowhere:
Please be informed, that you are not receiving any notifications from our end, nor any affiliate from our end, as you have opted out of this.
Yes, some affiliate "your end".
Indeed I did.
Why should I opt-out of something that I did not opt-in to?

I received several spam mails that did not come from Avira but were advertising Avira products. The advertiser / spammer uses a affiliate network named PERFORMANCE HORIZON GROUP LIMITED.
To put it clear: no Avira product on my side is involved at all.
I just want to know why I am receiving spam mails that advertise Avira products and why Avira is not doing anything about it.
