can't get vpn to connect

I have a Mac OS Catalina 10.5.7.  I signed up for the Avira Pro and my only problem is the vpn.  It connected for awhile, 1 month, but now it won't connect at all. Help!

  Unfortunately, you did not tell us if you have the free version VPN with the limited use or the VPN Pro version?

  Avira Pro has no influence on your VPN or VPN Pro version. 
  Without correct information, we cannot get a picture. Please check your license if you have purchased the VPN Pro and installed it correctly.
