VPN change location

I have Version 1.1.71.30368 running under Win7.
When I start the VPN and click on "Change Location", I get an ad, followed by another ad, followed by a return to the original page.
What is going on, and how do I fix it?

You have Windows 7 installed, a version that has not been updated by Windows for a long time. Since we don't have access to your installation, we can't recommend something how to resolve the problem.
Since Windows 7 is already very old and also not supported by Microsoft for a long time, please make sure that you are using the latest version of Windows 7.
